PASTOR’S QUOTE
We are open for Sunday Worship Service at 10:30AM (Social Distancing and Safety Rules apply*) Services are being streamed (here) Sunday’s at 10:30 AM Sunday Service Recorded from Live Stream “God Bless us Everyone! The Redemption of Scrooge.” This Advent/Christmas worship series will remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. The chimes of the clock-tower bells in Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol provide a wake-up call for Ebenezer Scrooge and turns him from his resentment, fear, and isolation. Just as God’s presence was born anew into this world, we too can be born anew, woken up and redeemed into renewed life, joy, passion, generosity, humility, and love. As we move thru the season, we will experience the wisdom shared by ghostly creatures as Scrooge finds his redemption and we our own. What did doing Christmas proper meant then, and what does it mean for us today? What was meant by God? Special Worship Services Friday Dec 17th: Blue Christmas Worship 3:00 pm Yes, blue, as if, “I’m feeling blue.” Christmas is not necessarily the happiest time of the year for everyone. Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other dis-ease that puts a question mark over the future, and a few other human situations make parties and joviality painful for many people in our congregations and communities. In this worship experience we will face the darkness, our sorrow, and uncertainties together and hope for a glimpse of light. Friday Dec 24th: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 7:00 pm a worship experience filled with carols, and lessons, bells, and joy!
