INVITATION TO CONFESSION:
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus (refrain only twice)
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face;And the things of the earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and grace.
MOMENT FOR CONFESSION
We struggle to manifest the fruits of the Spirit, but often find ourselves bound by works of the flesh. We know the whole law is summed up in the single commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves.Yet we create fences around ourselves to keep neighbors outsideand tell ourselves we have no responsibility. Even in our own backyard we “bite and devour” one another - we wish it were different!
<Silence for Reflection>
Inspire us, Lord of life, to follow Jesus closer, to cultivate the fruit you have given us and to be fruitful in all things we do for your glory. This we ask in the name that is above all name, Jesus Christ. Amen
